The design called for the raising of the floor level and doors of the office space above the level of flood hazard. New floor systems were specified to allow for the renovation without forcing the closure of the office and ramps were incorporated to allow for a transition between floor levels without significantly impacting the working areas. New interior wall surfacing was installed to mitigate future floor damage. Exterior ramps and facade modifications were designed to accommodate the transition from grade to the new floor level.
